I have to address this. Once the score reached 7-0, I was thinking, it’s going to be 21-0 at the end of the quarter. Yep. 31-0 at the end of the half. Then again, the Raiders have proven proficient at scoring once the game is out of hand. Like at Miami just last week, and the score 34-0.
It’s an embarrassment.
Green Bay is awesome. They are an offensive powerhouse and an opportunistic defense. They aren’t 13-0 by accident. I say 13-0 because there’s no way they are losing this game.
The Raiders…I have to wonder. Are they trying? If they are trying, what’s the problem? Are they simply that outclassed?
After all, the penalties are one thing. They’ve always gotten tons of them. These are not your grandad’s Raiders. The problem with these Raiders are, they are not committing penalties of aggression. They are committing penalties because they’re getting beaten.
These guys don’t know how to play football.
It’s something myopic Raiders fan doesn’t quite understand: You have to get players who know how to play football. If you have guys who don’t know how to play by now, you have to force-feed them reps.
On the other hand, you have a guy like Carson Palmer. Allegedly, he knew how to play professional football. The Raiders paid two high draft choices to bring him out of retirement. Now, Carson Palmer would help the Raiders if he decided to go back into retirement. The guy is awful. Throws horrible pix. Like all USC quarterbacks, he’s overrated. He has won nothing at the professional level, and Hue Jackson is calling him a “franchise quarterback?”
This guy Jackson must have seen some game film from 2006 and thought Palmer was still awesome. Now he’s given away so many draft picks, they can’t afford to get rid of him. He throws pix I wouldn’t throw. Awful, terrible, horrible.
