Pro Bowl

I think I said I was going to do a Pro Bowl discussion after I completed my “Family Entertainment” rant last night. I didn’t. So now, I’ll write about the Pro Bowl.

Just a mention. Spammers like to add their links onto comments. I looked at some of them, and they have absolutely no bearing on what I’m saying. For instance, I saw one where the person said how even and “professional” my writing was. It was during a “Cowboys” rant. LOL, too funny.

Anyway, I see where New England and the niners have eight starters each on the Pro Bowl squads. Hopefully, they will see action in that game. New England, it’s kind of funny to me. They actually have two defensive starters. That’s right, the New England “we must have the ball last or else” Patriots. People watch TV and pay attention to stats.

28 players are making their first appearance in the Pro Bowl. The rookies making it were Patrick Peterson, AJ Green and Von Miller. All richly deserving. The Redskins, Rams, Bills and Titans had no players selected.

I found it hard to believe, I was listening to Mike and Mike’s replacements this morning, and one of them said “why not invite Terrell Owens for the Pro Bowl? He’s always in shape.” The other guy kind of dismissed it, thank goodness.

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
