LB James Shows Some Real Class

As you know, LB James has been cast in a negative light in the media. Occasionally those remarks have been on this blog. In spite of a plethora of evidence, everyone has some redeeming qualities, and “Bron-Bron” showed some class during a recent stopover in Oklahoma City of all places. When some US Army helicopter crews landed at the same airport, they wanted to take pictures with the Heat players, but the Heat’s media persons said no. LB James overheard this, and arranged for the Heat players to take pictures with the military members:

These are guys who put their life in danger every day,’ James told the Sun-Sentinel. “‘If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t be free. They give us freedom every day. It’s ironic that they would be there at the airport the same time we were there. I got the team together. We all took a picture with all of them. I had a great conversation with them. They do so many great things for America, for all of us. The least we could do was take a picture with them.

So there you go. LB James, supporter of America’s finest. Give the man some credit; I wish some people could get it as well as James put it in the comments above.

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
