Charlotte BobCats: Awful, Terrible, Horrible

Have we mentioned how bad the Charlotte BobCats are? I’m pretty sure we have, but we want to mention it again. Tonight, the BobCats lost to the Hawks in the game previewed here. The BobCats are a threat to break the fewest wins mark in league history. I think they have to win 2 of their final 12 games.

They’ve lost 11 in a row after tonight’s facepalm.

At dinner last night, one of my friends suggested Kentucky could beat some NBA teams.  I asked his some questions:

Did he knew who Kemba Walker was? Of course.

Did he know Kemba Walker was the most outstanding player in the NCAA tournament? Yes.

Did he know Kemba Walker…the difference in last season’s UCONN Huskies championship team, was little more than a footnote on one of the worst teams in NBA history?

There’s a tremendous difference between college and NBA. Although Kentucky is good, and is going to have a significant number of players go to the NBA, it doesn’t mean they’ll be stars…or even serviceable players. The NBA is a long way from college ball. Ask Javaris Crittenton, Adam Morrison or Greg Oden.

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
