The Lakers interested in Leandro Barbosa?

Saw on Sports Illustrated where The Lakers are allegedly interested in Leandro Barbosa, the former point guard for the Indiana Pacers.

I wonder if they asked Steve Nash about it?

If you remember, Steve Nash and Leandro Barbosa were teammates with the Phoenix Suns. In fact, Nash won the league MVP, while Barbosa won the Sixth Man of the year for the Suns. And the Suns, as always, won nothing:

The funniest thing was, fan who is whining about Donaghy…the other two refs were thrown under the bus by the media. Not to say they couldn’t have fixed it as well.

Anyway, as detailed in this Terez Owens article, Barbosa is allegedly the father of Nash’s wife-at-the-time’s child. Nash even announced the divorce one day after his former wife gave birth. Allegedly, she was surprised but the reality is, Barbosa is black. Nash is white. Alejandra is Brazilian–like Barbosa. If that’s a black baby, we understand Nash questioning things. Perhaps they could do a “Celebrity Maury” show and remove all doubt.

Steve Nash is allegedly one of the nicest guys in the NBA. I would have to say, we don’t know him. All I know is, if it were someone like LB James dumped all over his wife like that, we’d see billboards up there hating on him.

But then again, Nash would have to be one of the greatest guys of all time to sign up to work with a dude who was banging his wife. Worst of all, the family section at Staples would be a mess.

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
