I am no fan of Mike Taylor and his “Sports Talk San Antonio” show. Sports talk radio in San Antonio is horrible, but on rare occasions Taylor makes astute observations. He spoke with some dude from Aggie Yell…whatever the hell that is…and the guy gave some reasons why TAM would be competitive. Taylor made some points, like the SEC is a different brand of football…teams and their fans play for keeps. Afterwards, Taylor brought in “Big John southern plantation.”
Big John southern plantation is Taylor’s impression of a Southeastern Conference supporter. Big John said “you boahs wanted the SEC. Now you got us.” Unlike Big John southern plantation’s expectations, TAM and Missouri aren’t embarrassing themselves.
Today, TAM played Florida in Kyle Field. TAM lost, 20-17 to Florida. Meanwhile, Texas opened with a joke of a game against New Mexico. I think that one is 31-0, Longhorns. But the Longhorns and the Big 12 play a different brand of football. The Big 12 is AAAAAA high school football.
Gotta tell you this: Big John southern plantation isn’t going to be happy with this expansion one day because TAM and Missouri are going to win some games they shouldn’t. TAM manhandled Florida for a half. Then again, TAM manhandled just about everyone for a half last season. TAM: New coach, new QB, same results.
