Green Bay – Houston

I’m watching Green Bay and Houston.

You know, I have no dog in this fight. But I always get one when watching Sunday night’s broadcast.

I simply pick the team the Al Michaels – Cris Collinsworth team is NOT rooting for. You can throw St. Tony Dungy in there, too. I suspect we’ll never see the Buccaneers on Sunday night unless they are cannon fodder for the niners.

I actually like Collinsworth, and I think he’s less biased than Michaels. Michaels doesn’t even try to hide his favorites. He’s rolling straight up with Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers. Mind you, I like Aaron Rodgers. But Al Michaels homerism, his straight-up douchery just makes me vomit. Before the kickoff, he ignored the fact Houston’s coming into this game unbeaten. If there’s anything I hate in sports, it’s hero worship. Michaels was blowing Rodgers right off the bat.

Michaels favorite teams are San Francisco and whoever Mike Shanahan is coaching.

If there was one person’s mouth I couple staple shut … with a staple gun … it would be his.

By the way, Rodgers just put a rope on the money to put Green Bay up 21-7.

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
