Cowboys 2012 – Irrelevant

I was just watching the Eagles play the Cowboys when I thought about the Sunday Night game. You know, it’s supposed to be a big deal to be on Sunday night.

I want to know, WHY? Why does anyone want to see the Cowboys, who stink, playing the Eagles, who stink out loud? BO-RING. The Eaglets coach is getting fired Day One of offseason. Dallas is going 8-8, 9-7 at best. Why are we getting this crap for what’s supposed to be one of the more intriguing games of the weekend? It’s awful, dull and not worth watching. Poor Al Michaels (the only time you’ll ever hear me say that). He’s trying to make this game interesting but can’t do it.

Go ahead, Cowboys fan: your team sucks but you are going to sit and watch them. Because you are douchebags and watch them, you are causing the rest of us not to see good teams play. Your owner isn’t too smart either. As long as you continue to watch, he thinks he’s doing something right. So while you torture normal sports fans, you also disable the threat of actually winning something. We’ll take that.

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
