I’m watching a DVR’d episode of Cheaters, now hosted by Clark Gable (the real Clark Gable’s grandson!).
This past weekend’s show had the usual suspects: the couple with something horribly wrong in their relationship and they fight; and the total loser who ends up cheating, then gets beat up by his large black female wife/girlfriend.
What I don’t understand is the reaction…total weirdness.
In the first segment, the husband finds out his wife is not only cheating with his best friend, but had the best friend’s child. All along they’ve been stringing the husband along. When the husband confronts his wife and best friend, the two men fight. She then tells her husband she never loved him. The guy then falls apart and starts crying while the former best friend taunts him.
Are you kidding? At that point, I’m brawling till I can’t brawl anymore. The dude banging my wife MUST go home missing teeth. You’re stringing me along? Ok. Here’s a crowbar to the face!
In the second segment, the medium sized black woman ends up striking her boyfriend, who of course has a “job” as a day laborer. She then fights with the large black woman who had no idea the girlfriend existed…allegedly.
Here’s what I don’t get: why did this woman go after the other woman? If she knew about her, or didn’t know about her, it’s her boyfriend’s fault. Plus, the medium sized black woman seemed to get the worst of the exchanges. It certainly looked like the medium sized black woman took a couple of slaps high on the face.
And she deserved them. Why are you going to hit a woman because your boyfriend is trying to get with her? Is she just so hot he can’t control himself? I’ll answer that: NO! Certainly not in that case.
Says here people do weird stuff, even when they have time to plan it. The boyfriend was apologetic but didn’t want to talk while he confrontation was going. When they got them in the Cheatersmobile, she ended up throwing him out. When they interviewed them later, she took him back! He said his girlfriend knew who the boss was…even though he was a complete zero.
It’s weirdness…and top-notch entertainment.
Used to watch this show all the time. Endless entertainment, for sure. I also never understood that pattern–it happened a lot. Maybe it’s rage in the moment? Or maybe it’s because in general women are viewed as the bad one–the home wrecker—and men are excused for cheating or it’s considered normal? Or it makes for a good cheaters episode? All of the above?
