Terrell Suggs Guarantees “Other 31 Teams Hate Patriots”

Terrell Suggs, instead of backing off his claims that the New England Patriots are the most “arrogant p**** in the world” after Baltimore defeated the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game, reiterated them in an interview on WEEI:

“Do I apologize for what I said? No. Do I mean what I said? Yeah,” Suggs said. “Could I have worded it a little better? Probably. But the fact of the matter is you can’t really consider it a rivalry because you have a few more championships than we do, but this has been steaming for a while.”

Suggs mentions how Bart Scott trashed New England, and touched on a few reasons why he didn’t like Tom Brady. He specifically mentioned the Brady Rule, where he talked about how other quarterbacks had their knees torn up, but they didn’t have league intervention on their behalf. Suggs voted for Ryan Fitzpatrick over Brady for the Pro Bowl in 2010, a year when Brady was named NFL MVP. He calls New England’s three SB titles “questionable”.

How could you not like that? That’s the kind of commentary that makes bittersportspills bitter. We like the chips on the shoulder. We love it when players like Brady himself says he “hates the Jets.” BSP now has a standing offer to Terrell Suggs to be a guestwriter on our blog. We’d love to see him  discuss WHY New England is so hated, and make commentary like when he told the Patriots to enjoy the Pro Bowl. Ha

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.

Despising someone doesn’t make one ‘bitter’ or ‘jealous.’ It simply means that you lack any respect for the other person. Last I checked, Terrell Suggs is a very accomplished NFL linebacker whose made 6 pro bowls, won 1 defensive player of year award, registered 90 career quarterback sacks and won 1 super bowl ring. I’m sure Mr. Suggs is quite comfortable enough in his own skin. He’s not lost a wink of sleep over the New England Patriots. He simply hates them along with Tom Brady and that’s his right to do so. Anyone foolish enough to think his hatred for the Patriots is due to jealousy, they’re either quite delusional or are just using ‘jealousy’ as a weak deflection in not dealing with the real. And the real? Suggs and the Baltimore Ravens have punked the Patriots in two of three playoff meetings and should have won all three games. So, what’s dude got to be jealous of here?

Also, please stop with the old, tired ‘roid rage’ comments every time an athlete like Terrell Suggs states an opinion that you happen to disagree with, because you stink your stupidity whenever you do so. The only comment more tired than this is the term ‘Homophobia’ that so many people shamelessly uses to justify the concept of homosexuality. Simply because one disagree with its premise, doesn’t mean that he or she has an ‘irrational’ fear of those that engage in homosexuality. They simply disagree with the concept of it. Plain and simple. Do not make it deeper than what it already is, folks. It’s not that deep.

  3. Absolutely ridiculous comments; absurd. I actually read what I write and I wrote nothing like you claim I did. In fact, I said I wanted to have Terrell Suggs write comments explaining why he hated New England. In fact, I wrote (in regards to Suggs’ comments about the Patriots):

“How could you not like that?”

It’s possible that you may have construed “How could you not like that?” as a negative comment, but it makes no sense. In fact, I can’t remember an instance where BSP said anyone other than confirmed roidoids to have “roid rage.” I rarely remark on comments because I want the readers to freely speak, but hey, if you want to make up BS, go right ahead. Just don’t expect it to sit on the blog without comments from me.
