I see where the Raiders are in talks with Seattle for quarterback Matt Flynn.
If that happens, I would almost want to see general manager Reggie McKenzie run off for good.
Rumor says Carson Palmer, current Raiders quarterback is going to be released after refusing to take a pay cut from $13 million to $10 million. Seems Palmer isn’t too happy about hearing he’ll have to compete for his starting job with former 3rd round pick and Ohio State dropout Terrelle Pryor. He has to be even less happy to see Oakland’s offseason bloodletting. Oakland just released defensive lineman Tommy Kelly, the Raiders longest tenured position player. They’ve already released starters Kelly, Richard Seymour, Heyward-Bey and Michael Huff. Its obvious the Raiders are looking to do a full rebuild and they don’t need those players taking up big parts of the cap.
I don’t know if Palmer really wants to play the niners, Seasquawks and Rams twice a year. That sounds like a recipe for failure.
In my opinion, the Raiders look to turn the corner in 2015. By that time, they shoulsd have pretty much a turned-over roster. Don’t know if coach Dennis Allen is going to be around for that turnaround.
