It appears as if Von Miller is going to get a four-game suspension due to a substance abuse issue. The Denver Post reported in 2011, Miller had tested positive for amphetamines and steroids during his rookie season. A second instance would generate a four-game suspension, which Miller is appealing. Earlier, Miller said the Broncos would win the Super Bowl. Perhaps he was just trying to guarantee his prediction.
Adam Schefter reported this on Facebook, while mentioning Elvis Dumervil. It seems as if the suspension stands, the Broncos would have neither Dumervil nor Miller to start against the Ravens on Opening Night. Of course, they had both Dumervil and Miller in their starting lineup when they played the Ravens in the playoffs last season. They lost that game.
I always get a laugh when teams beat the team that they lost to in the Super Bowl. Its like there’s some kind of revenge or proving something. But they beat you in the Super Bowl, the biggest game of your life. Winning a regular season game doesn’t mean that much.

This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast.
This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
