No he doesn’t

I saw on where LB James wants to play an NFL game before it’s over.

No he doesn’t. He just thinks he does.

You see, LB James would be just another dude if he played NFL football. Okay, a taller just another dude, but just another dude. Football’s a way different mentality. While we noted receivers call for the Flag now like basketball players call for fouls, you will still get destroyed going over the middle.

Too funny, notable football idiot Jerry Jones says he wants to see James in a Cowboys uniform. That spouter of common sense ideas, Dez Bryant does as well. As a notable Cowboys hater, I have to admit I do too.

Unlike basketball, football is a team sport. When I think about LB James playing football, I think Jerramy Stevens. Rickey Dudley. I think of missed blocks, missed assignments, running backs getting killed in the backfield. When I think of LB James playing football, I don’t see double Hall-of-Famer. I think of certain defensive backs gunning for him. I think of people saying “that guy made the right choice playing basketball.”  I think receivers are a dime-a-dozen in the NFL.

I remember Deion Sanders, a guy who was not exactly known for bringing it, absolutely flattening Mike Sciocia, one of the best defensive catchers in memory, on a play at the plate. LB James has never ever been hit like they hit in the NFL.

By the way, here’s a Beyond the Glory documentary on Deion Sanders. Watch it. I’m going to do a post on it.

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
