I’ve seen a couple of articles on coaches to be fired.
Rob Chudzinski will be fired, according to Chris Mortensen. Two other sources say a final decision hasn’t been made. The Browns lost their last seven games of the season. Meanwhile, a Browns player told Michael Silver of NFL Network:
“We are so dysfunctional,” a Browns player told Silver. “These billionaires need to pick somebody and stay with them. These aren’t girlfriends, you can’t dump them if they [fail to please you] one time.”
Agreed, Browns player.
Other coaches likely to get sacked Monday are Mike Shanahan of the Washington Redskins, Jim Schwartz of the Detroit Lions and Leslie Frazier of the Minnesota Vikings. We’d add Dennis Allen into the mix, due to the Raiders crash and burn, losing six in a row at the end of the season in spectacular fashion. However, we don’t know if Mark Davis is like his dad, not wanting to pay coaches for not coaching. Allen has two seasons left on his contract and Davis might not want to pay Allen and some of his assistants the money left on their deals. Plus the Raiders are practically devoid of talent, despite those comments. Mike Munchak of the Tennessee Titans is also likely in trouble.
EDIT: According to the NBC crew, Chudzinski has been fired for his one year of losing.
Cleveland rocks.
Dump Al! He talks to much and the background information is pure trivia and distracting.
