NFL Championship Game: Grim Thoughts

I’m thinking up some potential nightmare scenarios with the NFL’s Final Four. Specifically, Denver and San Francisco make the Super Bowl. That’s a real possibility, with the further nightmare being the Donkeys go on to beat the niners and we are inundated with that stupid, ugly orange for an entire offseason. Plus we get even more of the overexposed Peyton Manning being a huckster for everything from satellite TV to lousy pizza.

The thought here is, San Francisco isn’t going to beat Denver. San Francisco is not going to be able to rush Manning, while Seattle doesn’t give a damn who Peyton Manning is. They were certainly willing to give him and the Donkeys a beatdown in the preseason. Problem is, Seattle is NOT going to beat San Francisco tonight, not with a subpar Russell Wilson going for them. New England has no hope. Tom Brady just had the best season of his career, playing with garbage. New England can’t get stops, can’t get stellar play from anyone else except Brady, and lord knows they will get absolutely no help from the officials in Donkeyland. Says here, even though I picked Seattle to win it all in preseason, Denver’s going to win it all, and I’m going to go off someplace and vomit.

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
