Must be the Global Warming

Did I tell you I was in Washington DC last week? It should have been obvious. I bitched about rain, and everyone knows it doesn’t rain in South Texas. Hell, it doesn’t rain in Texas period, due mostly to global warming. While I have settled here, it doesn’t mean I think the place is completely wonderful. Global warming IS here and it’s real. I’m sorry, but membership in a political party doesn’t mean something is or is not happening.
I’ve always wanted to say this little piece: Steve Czaban, a former national morning sports talk host came on one day and started saying how “New York City is experiencing one of its coldest summers in its history.” So there’s obviously no global warming, right? Meanwhile, we in Texas were experiencing a backbreaking drought that’s continued for at least four more years. At one point, a TV weather person received tremendous flak for saying we NEEDED a Katrina-sized storm to get back close to the good side. We’ve endured over a year of Stage 2 water restrictions. When it comes to business, governors of other states are telling businesses thinking of moving here there’s no water here. They’re right!
Sports talk radio hosts just suck. Science, politics and sports talk radio don’t mix.

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
