I’m wondering, with commissioner Goodell hammering Adrian Peterson, one of the league’s most visible players and a first time offender … what’s he going to do when the Ray Rice debacle declares him to be a great big liar?
Aside from the Rice situation, commissioner Goodell used his dictatorial powers to unload on Peterson, suspending him for the rest of the season … and in the words of NFL Players Association chief DeMaurice Smith:
Our initial reaction is that the process that the NFL has employed since the beginning of the season has been arbitrary, inconsistent, and uneven”
Exactly. Meanwhile, Josh Brent (in the words of sports talk radio host Geoff Sheen) murdered his teammate and he’s going to be playing next weekend. How’s that work? Peterson’s team have the wrong owner?
