Miami – N.Y. Jets

Does anyone want to see this? I mean, does anyone besides idiot Jets fan — aka, New York-based sports media — think this is what the nation tunes in to watch?

The Miami Dolphins with their punchless offense against the Jets, who are just plain offensive. It’s 13-6 with just under 13 minutes left in the game. While I don’t see anything wrong with a defensive struggle …  BSP does not believe sports should be “easy” … this is a defensive struggle because both teams are offensively inept.

Miami looks like they are about to do something here. It’s 1st and goal from the 4. Whatever happens, I hope they go for two (Miami just scored on a Lamar Miller run). No ties and no overtime between the boring Dolphins and the even more boring Jets. Dammit, they kicked the extra point, 13-all. We might be there for a while.

By the way, anyone see Jeff Cumberland’s cheap-ass, but apparently legal block of Cameron Wade? Well, where are you Mr. Commissioner, with your uneven punishments and your garbage Competition Committee? I’ve always been amazed with how they ignore cut blocking but figure out ways to increase player “safety.” Pathetic.

As much as I can’t stand the Dolphins, I like the Jets even less. Can both teams please lose?

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
