Greg Popovich retiring?

I was watching KSAT 12 news this morning and during their sports segment, they showed Greg Popovich during their win over Portland last night. Then they showed him again making comments on the game.

This is just BSP speculation but dude doesn’t look healthy. As a matter of fact he looks terrible. In BSP’s opinion, he’s going to pack it in at the end of this season. They’ll replace him with the dude they brought over from Europe this year. This might have have been a planned maneuver but it’s going to happen. Popovich has already missed a couple of games this season, and I don’t see him as wanting to hang around if he’s not healthy.

At the end of the sports segment, they had a portion on GB-Seattle; Indianapolis-NE. Eileen Gonzalez said its going to be a good game (in the singular) even though they discussed both games. She clearly didn’t care about those games. I don’t care that she doesn’t care. Eileen Gonzalez doesn’t have to give a damn. She’s a South Texas girl. She can just deliver the news and that’s perfectly fine with BSP.

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
