You’ve read our post on the Dallas Cowboys being a clown show, with Jerry and Stephen Jones the ring masters. Now we have pictures of a bruised Nicole Holder, Greg Hardy’s ex, being released, and the Cowboys taking a ton of criticism. Except from the NFL, where it’s business as usual.
I was listening to NFL Radio’s Movin’ The Chains, where I thought I was going to get sick listening to callers dial in with their “blame the victim” mentality — and the host of the show agreeing with them. You know: she should have known Hardy is a violent dude, and she didn’t want to give up her “lifestyle.” She shouldn’t have been surprised to get beat up and bruised, apparently, according to the callers and host. It’s no reason to remove Hardy from the Cowboys, because they need him. They are in trouble, and they need him to get after Sam Bradford on Sunday night. Spoken just like a bunch of meatheads. How do they know what the Hardy/Holder relationship was like? Apparently, Hardy’s irritation started with Holder walking out of a Charlotte nightclub with the rapper Nelly.
Anyway, did you think she’d look like? Frankly, it was about what we expected. She’s a female that got beat up by a 6’5″, 280 lb professional athlete.
Here’s the deal: we at BSP aren’t all over Greg Hardy because he’s a woman beater. He has the right to pursue legal avenues so he can continue making a living. We’re not all over the Dallas Cowboys for signing him. Someone was going to do it, just not the Oakland Raiders. We’re not all over Dallas’ local and NFL-centric media, because they are willing to defend this criminal. Jerry and Stephen Jones operate in this echo chamber where every advantageous football move is greeted with applause, regardless of social concerns. ESPN, who broadcast an editorial during SportsCenter stating Hardy should be released, is viewed as “liberal media.” Lol, ESPN wants Hardy to bring eyeballs to Cowboys games they broadcast. They certainly don’t mean it. Don’t even go down the “liberal media” road with us at BSP. We might discuss that with you one day, and you won’t like it.
We’re all over Hardy because he hasn’t shown an ounce of remorse over the event. Not one. He claimed Holder attacked him. An unending series of “no comments.” The guy clearly believes he hasn’t done anything wrong. When he said he wanted Tom Brady to bring his wife’s sister to the Patriots – Cowboys game, I cringed. If I had a female in my family I cared about, I wouldn’t let them within a mile of Greg Hardy.
And the Clown Show rolls on.
