Jaguars fire Greg Olson

Jacksonville Jaguars fired their offensive coordinator, Greg Olson, after losing two games in 5 days this past week. Not only did they lose, they lost badly. The Jags lost 36-22 after trailing 27-0 at the half of their loss to Tennessee.

Says here this is one of those excuse moves that doesn’t solve anything. The defense was supposedly a strong point for Jacksonville, but gave up 69 points in those two losses. I’m sure it was Greg Olson totally responsible for the Jaguars inability to stop the Tennessee offense. I’m also sure it was Greg Olson’s fault that Blake Bortles doesn’t know how to throw a football until the 4th quarter at garbage time. The dispute was mostly regarding the running game. LOL, the Jags weren’t good at that, either.

To BSP, sacking Olson is just telling us Gus Bradley is going to get his walking papers at the end of the season. They just gave Olson a head start on getting a new job. The Jaguars have some talent but they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon; not with that leadership.

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
