First Post of the New Year

So much has happened! Want to give you some insight:

We booked a cruise and we’ll be going to Australia and New Zealand! I’m very excited because I want to see and photo some of the world most glorious landscape and most unique animals.

The travel trailer is showing some signs of wear. While we haven’t experienced anything major — thank you Jesus — we have seen some not good things. On one trip to East Texas, our sink faucet didn’t work. On the next trip, it did. A porch light burned out and I replaced it with an LED light. It works magnificently. I replaced several lights with LEDs and they work well, so far. Amazon.com for some workable LEDs, friends.

We had an unfortunate issue after our trip to East Texas, Lake Livingston to be exact. Someone broke into our trailer storage and stole an impact wrench I stored there for emergency use. Even worse, it was one of two impact wrenches I have and it was a new one, not the old pawn shop one I intended for RV use. I didn’t want to be on the road and have to use the old wrench on such a long trip. In fact, I was returning to the storage to pick up the new wrench I had left overnight and I found all our storage bins including the outdoor kitchen, open. So now I’m trying to come to terms with the stolen property and the storage — do I keep it there or store it someplace where it might be as vulnerable? RV’s are vulnerable. I put new locks on it just for that purpose and the person … who I suspect noticed our equipment — used a relatively easy method to get into it.

New England won the Super Bowl. Are you surprised? The Patriots have played in more Super Bowls than any other team and Tom Brady has won as many Super Bowls as the Steelers. He’s won more Super Bowls than the NFC North (5), NFC South (2), AFC South (2) and the rest of the AFC East (3). Why do I emphasize the divisions (besides the NFC West)? Cause it shuts people up. Sixburgh? SILENCE. New England is now Sixland. Ha ha. How about those Cowb…, oh New England has won all six of their titles since the Cowboys last one. San Francisco, we’ve never lost one. Happy 25th Anniversary for your last title, niners. May it be another 25 years before you win again.

About bittersportspills

I love sports. I don't love the hype, homerism, ratings talk, self-important egomaniacs, bias or any of the other nonsense you get with the national media. Nor will you get the two clowns on sports talk radio who stage phony arguments. It doesn't make it entertaining. It makes it time to turn on your iPod and jam instead of listening to white noise generators. This is the sports blog for you, the ones who don't like everything Los Angeles or New York. Just because the sporting media is based there doesn't mean we have to like their teams. We do treat them fairly, though. That means if one of those cities has an average QB who plays particularly well...we'll note it. If they're garbage, we'll say so. Instead of crying "why, why, why" like a certain sports media homer did in his radio broadcast. This isn't my job...I have a real one. Nevertheless, I'll post here when I make an observation. Common sense in sports is nearly dead. Now we're attempting to bring it back.
