An unruly Iceland Air passenger, apparently liquored up, began yelling at and spitting on other airline passengers. The other passengers took matters into their own hands, duct-taping the guy to a seat until the end of the flight (ABC News).

The unruly passenger was taken to a hospital where he was being treated for alcohol poisoning.
I have to say, I’ve never been on a flight where a passenger was so out-of-control had to be restrained or the plane had to be diverted. Sucks for the other passengers. Frankly, I’d probably have taken a swipe at the guy if he spit on me. There’s nothing nastier than that.
There used to be a time where air travel was enjoyable. It is now just a means of transport; a method to get from point A to point B. It’s interesting that a person could get so loaded on a plane that they would become belligerent. Of course, there’s the more likely scenario of the guy being wasted before he even got on board the aircraft. If he was, there’s a lot more people to blame than just the drunk.
